Meet the Team


Rodney Peters

President/CEO

Rodney Peters, CEO/President of Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts, has been in management for 30 years after attending the University of North Alabama and North Carolina State. A resident of Florence, AL, for the last 57 years, Rodney works hard to be the best CEO in the country and to inspire his team to be the best, especially when it comes to taking care of customers. In his free time, Rodney enjoys restoring old cars, bodybuilding, and spending time with his 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and his wife of 38 years, Joanna.


Jim Hite

Vice President of Finance/CFO

Jim Hite joined WIT in 2019 as its Chief Financial Officer. He graduated from the University of Louisville, going to work for the Deloitte Accounting Firm as a Certified Public Accountant. With more than 30 years of industry experience, his background is diverse from manufacturing and distribution, construction, corporate and individual tax, along with acquisition due diligence. Prior to joining WIT, he worked with a team taking a company from private ownership to purchase by private equity and ultimately taking the company public on the New York stock exchange. Jim is a member of the KY Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He recently moved to Shepherdsville, KY, with his two daughters.


Ted Welter

Vice President of Corporate Operations

Ted started his WIT career in 2006 as the Branch Manager in Scranton, PA, where Ted oversaw start-up and ran the branch for four years. In 2010, Ted was offered a new position as a Regional Manager and has overseen multiple locations, assisting in their growth and development. In 2018, Ted had the opportunity to move to headquarters in Kentucky, to become the VP of Operations, where he has been an integral piece of the team ever since. Ted and his lovely wife of more than 17 years have lived in Kentucky for four years and have four children, one granddaughter, and fur baby Milo. They love spending time at the lake, relaxing by the pool, and going back to PA for family visits.


Kelly Hammock

Vice President of Branch Operations

Kelly Hammock brings more than 30 years of experience to the WIT team. Starting in the industry from a young age, he began assisting his father in their family automotive business and racing monster trucks, later working toward his Mechanical Engineering degree from Tennessee Tech University. Kelly began his career working for DACCO in Sales and Distribution and subsequently in Operations before joining the WIT team in 2010 as VP of Operations, and he is now the Sr. VP/COO and serves on the Board of Directors. Kelly has been married to his wife Anita for 32 years and has three children and one grandson. In his spare time, Kelly can be found hunting on his farm or restoring antique cars with his son and grandson. He and Anita also enjoy traveling and spending time on Dale Hollow Lake together.


Scott Davis

Vice President of Sales

Scott Davis joined WIT in 2000 as a Sales Representative, following his time as a Parts Delivery Driver and DACCO Parts Counter. Scott’s knack for converting business relationships to long-lasting friendships led him to quickly become a top salesperson, where he has maintained strong sales performance for almost two decades. In 2019, Scott was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, and through his sales expertise, tireless work ethic and friendly nature, he earned the position of VP of Sales in 2020. Scott believes that building friendships and relationships with customers, achieving top-notch customer service, and exceeding stretch goals are the keys to success. In his rare spare time, Scott and his wife Christe enjoy camping and being outdoors with their two children, Griff and Emma.


Andy Montgomery

Vice President of Sales

Andy Montgomery joined the WIT team in 2004 where he has excelled in the roles of Regional Manager and Sales Representative. In 2019, Andy was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, where he led a team of sales representatives from multiple branches across the United States. His servant-leadership style motivated the team to exceed sales goals, grow sales into national regions, and continue delivering exceptional customer service. In just 12 months, Andy’s work ethic and results-oriented approaches earned him the promotion to VP of Sales. Andy continues to build relationships with customers and develop partnerships with suppliers. On the weekends, you can find Andy and his wife Heather chauffeuring their son Colton to and from the ballfield.


Bill Cook

Supply Chain Manager

Bill Cook started his career in 1984, working in a new car dealership’s parts department. Bill was awarded his first Parts Manager Role in a dealership in 1991. From there, Bill has been a Fixed Operations Manager and a Parts Director for a multi-franchise dealer. In 2015, WIT and Bill’s paths crossed where he is currently a Purchasing Manager based out of Kentucky. Bill has been happily married to his wife Linda for 11 years, and they have three grown children, Michael, Jessy and Meghan. On the weekends, Bill and Linda enjoy relaxing at home with their two Border Collies, Jack and Jill, along with riding motorcycles and running a rental venue together.


Pam Herm

Human Resources Manager

WIT for 6 years, 25 years of HR experience, professional communications/ business mgmt. degree, prelaw degree, federal and state laws certified, FMLA certified CNA certificate, employment and labor law certified, payroll certified volunteer for the women’s shelter & Humane society. Enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with my Granddaughter.


Chris Combs

Production Manager

Chris Combs began his career with WIT right out of high school working in the transfer case and axle division and has been in the industry for 32 years. Over the years, Chris worked his way up to management and is currently the production manager for our Shepherdsville, KY, plant where he oversees many aspects of production, from manufacturing hard parts and tear down, to overseeing purchasing of cores. Chris has been happily married to his wife Tobi for more than 25 years. They have two grown children, Luke and Chloe, along with fur babies Leroy and Copper. In Chris’s spare time, he loves to restore old vehicles and recently restored his grandpa’s old 1971 truck he inherited.


Kim Casey

Executive Assistant

Kim Casey has been in the automotive industry for 30 years. Kim joined the WIT team as a receptionist in 1992 and worked her way through sales, back to lead receptionist to where she is now the Office Manager/Executive Assistant. She also serves as the Secretary on the Board of Directors. Kim has been happily married to her husband Kevin for more than 25 years, and they have a daughter Ashley and a set of twins Autumn and Kevin. Kim and her family love to go to car races, travel to the beaches, and explore new places, along with spending time with their 10-month-old grandson Owen.

Bill Anthony

Roadmaster Powertrain

Bill Anthony started as an apprentice heavy duty mechanic in 1972 and went to attend and graduate from Denver Automotive and Diesel College in 1976. In the early 90s, Bill was the Director of Research & Development for Toledo Trans-it for 8 years. In 2019, his career brought him to the Whatever It Takes family where he is currently the Director of Reman Operations for Roadmaster Powertrain. Bill is married to his loving wife, and together they have five children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.


Ethan Hammock

Atlantic Converters

Ethan Hammock was exposed to the performance side of the industry from an early age where he worked alongside his father and grandfather with their family business designing and building custom chassis and powertrains. After high school, Ethan joined the military and is currently an Active Reserve NCO in the United States Marine Corp. In 2018, Ethan joined the WIT team, starting in Operational Support and in 2019 was promoted to Plant Manager of Atlantic Converters and Extreme Performance Converters. Ethan tributes his passion for quality and building the WIT brand to the fundamental practices he learned during those years growing up in the converter transmission industry. He and his wife Abbey have a son and are expecting their next child in November. Ethan is an avid golfer, and in his free time, he enjoys competing in local tournaments.
